Activity Reference Guide

The Activity screen is your store's review timeline — every review that came in, every email sent, every platform multiplication, every share — in chronological order. Use it to trace what happened (and when), confirm that an automation ran, or audit a specific review's journey.

How to get there

In your Shopify admin, open the Review Multiplier app and click Activity in the left navigation menu.

What you'll see

Tabs

The feed has four filter tabs:

TabShows
All ActivityEvery event (after the technical-task filter, see below)
Store ReviewsStore reviews — reviews left about your overall store, not a specific product
Product ReviewsProduct reviews — reviews tied to a specific product
Multiplied ReviewsReviews that were shared from one platform to additional review platforms via review multiplication

The Multiplied Reviews tab also shows a one-line note reminding you that multiplication records are based on what users tell us by clicking "share to platform" buttons — verify independently against the source platform if you need a hard audit trail.

Hide technical task history (default on)

Above the feed there's a Hide technical task history checkbox, on by default. When enabled it filters out internal/system events that aren't useful for understanding customer activity, including:

  • Google Merchant Center feed regenerations and access events
  • Product feed sync successes and errors
  • Widget operations (install, update, configuration changes)
  • Import operations (CSV runs, platform pulls)
  • Sync operations (any internal sync_* job)
  • Daily technical summary digests
  • Anything with "Failed to regenerate" in its message

Uncheck the box to see those events as well — useful when you're debugging an integration or want to see whether overnight automations ran.

Pagination

Activities are paginated 10 per page. The page indicator shows your position; click prev/next to walk through history. The feed retains up to 150 events of activity history (~90 days for an active store).

Activity item structure

Each row shows:

  • An icon indicating the event type (star for reviews, share for social posts, email for sends, etc.)
  • A message describing what happened, often with the customer name or product
  • A timestamp in human form ("3 hours ago") that resolves to the exact time on hover
  • A chevron to expand the row when there's metadata worth seeing (review text, platform list, error details, etc.)

When an expanded review activity has photos attached, those photos appear as thumbnails. Click any thumbnail to open the photo gallery modal — a larger view of the customer's review photos.

The home Dashboard shows a slim Recent Activity card with the 5 most recent items. Click View all activity on that card to land here for the full history.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is activity history retained?

The feed shows the most recent 150 events, which is roughly 90 days of activity for a typical store. Older events are still in the database but aren't surfaced in this UI.

Why don't I see Google Merchant Center sync events?

They're filtered out by Hide technical task history. Uncheck that box at the top of the page to include them.

Can I export the activity feed?

Direct export from this page isn't supported yet. For underlying review data, use Import & Export which provides CSV download of review records.

Why do I see a banner on the Multiplied Reviews tab?

Multiplication records are reported by the user when they click a "share to platform" button — they're a useful indicator of activity but not a hard audit trail. The banner reminds you to verify against the destination platform if you need rigorous proof.

Can I respond to a review from this page?

Not directly. To respond, click into Review Moderation where you can publish, hide, and respond to individual reviews.
