Automate Workflows with Shopify Flow

Review Multiplier includes a Shopify Flow trigger that fires whenever a customer submits a new review. This lets you build custom automations directly in Shopify Flow without any coding.

How it works

Every time a review is created — whether from an email invitation, the review collection page, the Shop app, or a direct submission — Review Multiplier sends a "Review Submitted" trigger to Shopify Flow with the following data:

FieldDescription
Review RatingStar rating (1–5)
Review TitleThe review headline
Review ContentThe full review text
Review Typeproduct or store
Review SourceHow the review was collected (email, native, shop, import)
Customer EmailThe reviewer's email address
Customer NameThe reviewer's name
Product TitleThe product name (for product reviews)
Shopify Product IDThe Shopify product ID (for product reviews)
Verified PurchaseWhether the reviewer is a confirmed buyer
Review StatusThe moderation status (pending, published, rejected)

Setting up a Flow automation

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Flow (or search for "Flow" in the admin search bar).

  2. Click Create workflow.

  3. Choose Select a trigger, then search for "Review Submitted" under the Review Multiplier app.

  4. Add conditions and actions to build your workflow. For example:

    • If Review Rating ≥ 4 → Send a thank-you email
    • If Review Rating ≤ 2 → Tag the customer for follow-up
    • If Review Type = productAdd the customer to a loyalty segment
  5. Click Turn on workflow when you're ready.

Example automations

Here are some ideas to get started:

  • Reward loyal reviewers — Tag customers who leave 5-star reviews and add them to a VIP segment.
  • Escalate negative feedback — Send a Slack notification or internal email when a 1- or 2-star review comes in.
  • Track review sources — Use Flow to log which channels generate the most reviews.
  • Thank reviewers — Trigger a personalized thank-you email after a positive review.
No setup required

The Flow trigger is active automatically. As long as you have Shopify Flow available on your plan, you can start building automations immediately.
